Man Without A Country?

The political rumor mill continues to churn with whispers that State Rep. Patrick Rose (D- Dripping Springs) could find himself with not one, but two opponents next year.

Trial lawyers Movers and shakers in his own party may have recruited a candidate to challenge the “Craddick D” in the primary. The Speaker’s team, feeling betrayed by his end-of-season announcement that he wanted to be traded, are telling people they have have a Republican to take him on next November, too.

With a hefty war chest of his own, Rose will not go down without a fight. But influential groups on both sides of the aisle appear ready to wash their hands of him, citing an inability to count on his word.

We wouldn’t count him out just yet. He has been consistently “misunderestimated” and has McScrooge-like piles of cash.
