A Pius Birthday To You Sir
A big ‘happy birthday’ to Texas Speaker Tom Craddick, who turns 64 years old today — almost as many years as he’s represented Midland in the Texas House.
One more year and Mr. Craddick will reach retirement age.
Also celebrating a birthday today is Titus Aurelius Fulvus Boionius Arrius Antoninus Pius (September 19, 86–March 7, 161). According to Wikipedia he:
was Roman emperor from 138 to 161. He was the fourth of the Five Good Emperors and a member of the Aurelii. Almost certainly, he earned the name “Pius” because he compelled the Senate to deify Hadrian.
