Can 60,000 ACL Fans Be Wrong?

Did you know there’s an election this November? we’re sure we read something about it somewhere.

Lance Armstrong does. He’s one of the high profile people behind a bond issue on the statewide November 6 ballot that will commit Texans to paying off $3 billion over the next 10 years in exchange for more aggressive research to find a cure for cancer. Not a bad cause, as causes go.

But someone might want to let Lance know about the law that requires political campaigns to put a disclaimer on all their advertising — even fans — so that people know who paid for the materials. 60,000 fans were handed out this weekend to ACL Fest fans… With no disclaimers. Big no-no.

We are sure the pro-cancer folks will jump on that one.

  2. I think the fault here lies not with Lance Armstrong but with Cathy Bonner. From what I hear, she is doing everything she can to lose this ballot election and screw up Lance’s future political career.
