Kim Ups The Ante

InFact Daily is Reporting that embattled Austin City Councilwoman Jennifer Kim, facing opposition in her re-election bid next May, served notice she won’t go quietly by putting together a crack team to run her campaign and then announced her opposition to any tax incentives for the high-rise Marriott scheduled to displace Las Manitas restaurant.

Kim hired Elliott McFadden to run her campaign, Dean Rindy to make her ads, Yael Ouzillou to raise the money to pay for them, and Matt Hersh to help bring it all together. McFadden worked for Kim’s opponent in 2005. She also rejected any tax incentives or other sweetheart deals for White Lodging, the corporation behind the planned Marriott.

The news on both fronts yesterday showed that Kim still has a few moves left.

  2. Why is no one from Kim’s previous campaign helping her re-election?

  3. Perhaps they wish to distance themselves from an unelectable candidate?

She essentially committed political suicide by being in bed with the leadership of RG4N and advising them to sue the city.

    Conflict of interest much?
