Ott In

Austin will have its first African American city manager when Toby Futrell leaves in May — Marc Ott, currently an assistant city manager in Fort Worth.

Ott and San Antonio assistant city manager Jelynne Burley were the last two candidates still in the running for the job after a quick — some said overly secretive — selection process.

Austin officials are expected to make Ott’s appointment public on Thursday.

  2. Not sure why the council didn’t take Jennifer Kim’s suggestion and add one or two more public forums. She definitely showed leadership and a clear vision to have more public input. Instead the council expedited the process for no real reason.

  3. Glazer, aren’t you working for Jennifer Kim’s campaign…?

  4. No. I am proud to say I support her, and taking a hard stance like she did this week is a big reason why.

  5. Luckily, Kim’s days on council are numbered. She has pissed off WAY too many folks by flip flopping and pandering whenever convenient. Don’t know you Matt Glazer, but guessing you are a just a kid.

nobody else could be fooled by her ploys.

  6. He’s not working for Jennifer. Just ignite consulting….who is being paid by Jennifer for “campaign consulting”.

Note to Jennifer….time to go ask for your money back for the last bit of advise before Thursday mornings council meeting.

OUCH!! That had to hurt. And I am sure it gonna leave a mark.
