Lance May Be Ready For Political Close-Up, After All

Lance Armstrong, seven-time Tour de France champion, has leaned an increasingly willing ear toward would-be kingmakers urging him to consider a political career, maybe even governor in 2010. And he might be more prepared for the new career than many thought.

After three years of stalling, more than $1 million in expenses, and lots of huffing and puffing about how it wasn’t his fault that the swimming hole he shares with 17 other landowners was muddied after he built a damn upstream, he tells The Man this morning that his actions “set a good example” and “could serve as a lesson.”
