State Representative Elliott Naishtat turns 63 today. The New York native has been in the Texas House for nearly two decades now — and mooching food at receptions and fundraisers around town even longer than that.
We do appreciate his hard work to protect children, nursing home residents, and renters. Just keep an eye on your deli trays!

You got it right on the second spelling, but Elliott would probably tell you his name is always spelled with two “l’s” and two “t’s”. Thanks for reminding me to tell wish him a happy birthday, if only I had a cupcake for him.
