Kill a Studio, Take A Dump?
Having taken a pass on a job-creating studio complex, the Austin City Council may now be poised to take a dump. Will they really go through with it?
Just last week, a majority of the council — Will Wynn, Betty Dunkerley, Jennifer Kim, and Lee Leffingwell — got cold feet and scuttled the Villa Muse deal on 1,900 acres 14 miles east of downtown. Their decision effectively guaranteed that the project and its new jobs will go somewhere other than the Live Music Capital of the World.
Up next is possible approval a landfill in eastern Travis County, scheduled for a vote as soon as today. Stay tuned. It could get even smellier.

The council could vote as soon as today on the landfill? Wow! Even though the council meeting of March 13 is cancelled? You guys really do have the scoop! Thanks for letting us in on the secret meeting. We never would have known about this conspiracy without your insider knowledge.
