What Did Your Daddy Do In The War?
We got more bile in the mail today in the form of negative campaigning by Laura Morrison. This one even hits Cid Galindo’s dad for giving money to Bush.
We wouldn’t vote for his dad either. Too bad Cid didn’t hire an opposition researcher to look into Laura’s parents’ past.
The funniest thing about this minor league mailer may be the fact that it doesn’t ask you to vote for anyone.
Voter suppression anyone?
Luckily, this should be the end of this, and we can get back to stashing away those Linens ‘n Things 20% cards till they expire.

Laura’s treasurer is a personal injury trial lawyer. I’ll take a city planner over a trial lawyer anyday.

Yeah. Morrison and her campaign are the same people who have screwed up Austin governance and made the city council a laughing stock with their elitist attitudes and idiotic decisions on everything from water treatement plants to the placement of light switches in new houses. Why don’t these people just move to San Francisco and get it over with?

They will. After they crank the cost of living up here to be equal with San Fran.
What ever happened to old fashioned liberals who leave people alone and only attack those that would do harm to others?
These folks should spend their time going after Rick Perry and Tom Craddick instead of working families.

Morrison and her people are sitting around her McMansion coming up with these classic Republican smear tactics to use innuendo and guilt-by-association in order to paint Galindo and his people as… Republicans! Priceless!

Harry Truman once said he told the truth about people and they thought is was hell. I appreciate Morrison for sticking her neck out far enough to identify Galindo for what he is, not an “urban planner” but a front man for developers from Houston and Las Vegas. His so-called “plan” is a way to get my tax money to finance his development in Pflugerville. The fact that is he also a republican should come as no surprise to anyone if the Austin Statesman were doing its job, like the Austin Chronicle does.
Cid’s supporters are being played for suckers. I will vote for Morrison because I want a council member who understands the City of Austin belongs to its citizens, not just Cid and his developer buddies.

More accurately, Morrison understands that the city of Austin belongs to its RICH citizens - people like her who can afford a $1.4 million mansion in Old West Austin and have a Skaggsian mindset about transportation.

Morrison and her supporters apparently find it suspicious that someone would actually work to build housing instead of opposing the construction of new housing and lobbying for restrictions that increase the cost of housing.
